Dance With The Wicked Witch

from Presents The Farm Tapes, Vol. 1 by Todd Parker

The earliest song on this volume, Dance With The Wicked Witch was recorded in 1988 on my Fostex X-15 4-track. Quite a bit of manipulation was done to the actual recorder from what I recall with ample abuse of the pitch controller done in real time during the mixing. I believe this song was inspired by Prince's The Black Album. Not sure how that seed turned into this twisted tale of Oz. Witch was performed live one time in 1989 at the first official Tadpoles show at Cedar's in Youngstown, Ohio and never reared her head again until morphing/melting into my solo project namesake in 2010.

I am the wicked witch
